About Julia

Julia is a Master of Counselling Psychology student at Adler University, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and cultural sensitivity. As a Canadian-born Chinese clinician-in-training, she values diversity and inclusivity in her therapeutic approach.

Julia brings extensive experience as a Health Care Assistant at Burnaby, where she developed her skills in client care and emotional support. She has also contributed to research at Labs and engaged in advocacy work during her social justice practicum.

In her practice, Julia integrates Reality Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), empowering clients to build awareness, make meaningful choices, and achieve their goals. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese, and Korean, and is committed to supporting multilingual and immigrant communities.

Outside her professional and academic pursuits, Julia is an avid traveller, having explored Asia, North America, and Europe. These experiences have enriched her cultural understanding and informed her approach to counselling.
