About Iris

Are you navigating a challenging life transition? Feeling overwhelmed by stress, relationship conflicts, or the complexities of identity? Hi, I'm Iris, a Master of Counselling Psychology practicum student from Adler University, and I'm here to support you at Nuway Counselling in Burnaby, BC.

I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families as they confront academic or work pressures, relationship dynamics, parenting struggles, grief, and the journey of self-discovery.

My background as a first-generation immigrant, balancing Asian family values with a Western education, has instilled in me a deep understanding of what it takes to define your own path and overcome feelings of isolation. I bring this lived experience and empathy into our sessions, striving to be the steady, understanding presence you need to find clarity and strength. You're invited to explore your challenges here, knowing you have a dedicated ally.

Drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and attachment-based insights, alongside mindfulness practices, I create a tailored and effective therapeutic experience. At Nuway, my commitment goes beyond techniques – it's about fostering a multicultural-aware, open, and utterly non-judgmental environment where you can freely express yourself, feel genuinely understood, and move towards a more empowered and authentic life.

If you're ready to take the next step on your journey, I invite you to connect with me at Nuway Counselling to schedule a  free consultation.
